Taunton School is a co-educational boarding school in South West England for pupils aged 2-18. The aim of the school is to prepare young people to shape the world in the 21st century. The School was founded in 1847 and the old buildings are complemented by modern facilities including an indoor swimming pool, spacious library, interactive white boards and IT suites. Pupils leaving Taunton School go to top universities including Oxford and Cambridge. In  the Sixth Form Taunton School offers the IB Diploma and A levels.

 

Taunton School comprises of Taunton Preparatory School, Taunton School and Taunton School International, which all share the same spacious campus. 

 

Taunton School International prepares students aged 14–17 for entry to top UK boarding schools. Taunton School International shares the School’s excellent facilities and are fully part of the School community. Younger students (Aged 7-13) can apply directly into Taunton Preparatory School. They live with British students but have their lessons in our Junior International Group (JIG)until they can fully integrate into normal lessons. 
 
Taunton School International provides high-quality tuition in small classes appropriate to students’ ages, abilities and, their proposed entry point into the British education system. Taunton School International offers One Year and Two Year GCSE / Pre-IB Programmes which are excellent preparation for students planning to study A Levels or the IB in the UK. Students study up to 8 subjects in a year from a choice of 20 GCSE subjects. Our academic results are excellent.

 

In the summer Taunton School International runs a 3 or 6 week Summer School as well as 2, 3 or 5 week Junior Summer School.  Students study English plus other subjects. At the end of their course they take a City and Guilds International ESOL examination or Cambridge Young Learners examination. The Senior Summer School is good preparation for GCSEs, A levels and the IB Diploma. 

 

Taunton School International is accredited by the British Council as an International Study Centre and is a Provisional member of the Council of International Schools (CIS).
