Colchester English Study Centre, or CESC, is in Colchester - a perfect location to study English. Colchester is less than an hour from London by train, and is a lively, historic university town. It is also only 60 minutes by bus from London Stansted airport.

Set up in 1969, CESC is accredited by the British Council, is a member of IALC and is an exams centre for IELTS, TOEIC and the University of Cambridge ESOL exams.

CESC offers a choice of English language courses, including General English, Cambridge ESOL Exam Preparation, IELTS Preparation, Business English, Teacher Training, Legal English, English for Medicine, and Fifty Plus courses. It has recently become a CELTA training centre. It has excellent private study facilities, wi-fi throughout and a canteen.
Students study in  classes of 13 maximum with experienced, well-qualified teachers.

As well as its teaching programme, Colchester English Study Centre offers an exciting social programme, which includes evening activities and excursions.

Many students prefer to stay with homestay host families in and around Colchester, which gives them the opportunity to practise their English and to find out more about British culture out of class time. We have other accommodation options available.

CESC also runs 1 residential and 2 homestay junior summer centres, under the name of International Language Holidays
